The WiiU has had a slow start in Europe, which is mainly down to the financial mess of the Eurozone. People just cant afford new higher priced hardware at this time, and the situation is likely to be ongoing. WiiU is going to be a lot more affordable than Microsoft or Sonys next offerings, so if people are put off by WiiUs price point, i dont see the competition doing any better.

I think that-
1, Microsoft and Sonys next consoles wont be the powerhouses everybody expects, and we may see quite a few dissapointed people.
2, This gen is going to drag on as the current HD consoles are now affordable, and the next gen will be slow to catch on.
3, I think the next gen market leader will only sell a modest amount of hardware, prob decent numbers but nothing out of this world.

What im saying in a nutshell is, its not just Nintendo facing obstacles. The upcoming gen is going to be very unpredictable for all concerned.
