Talk to Capcom (folks that made GBC Oracle games and GBA's Minish Cap) Those games were amazing (Miish Cap being my third all time Zelda).
Make it 2D! I adore top down 2D Zelda and it gives great contrast to console 3D offerings. 3DS could match Four Sword visuals and easily a day one buy for me. The only Zelda I do not like (besides CDi, those don't count) are Zelda 2 and the two DS offerings. If they continue with that (which story seemed to wrap up in Spirit Tracks) then I will likely wait and see and may not even bother (staggering for a long time Zelda fan).
