Can you imagine how much their next-gen console will cost? Anything above 300$ is going to collect dust in the US. These companies should wait until the tech is cheap enough to sell these new consoles at a practical price while still being an actual update to the previous consoles. |
In business terms it makes a lot of sense. Sales in both software and hardware have been declining for the last few years. That's a major indicator the current consoles need some form of refresh. They tried to extend the life span of the gen with Kinect, Wii Motion+ and Move, but none have really done much to stem to drop in sales.
