"But if you want to know of some of the original titles to be found on 3DS, most of them are on the eShop."

These digital games are increasingly the ones I find myself playing. Super Meat Boy for example is my favorite game and I've finished it six times now. I find the big budget titles to be largely uninspired drivel created by marketing departments.

"If you like Shantae, why wouldn't you want more Shantae?"

Because I would rather devote that time to an entirely new game. That being said, I do play many sequels but I wouldn't buy a system for them. Also, I won't even entertain the thought of buying part 7, 8, 9, etc... of a franchise. God of War II was once my favorite but I won't even give Ascension so much as a sideways glance. If any developer is still relying on the same franchises 20 years from now as today then I'll simply move on to more creative teams. Kind of like how I stopped playing Nintendo games after the GameCube / GameBoy Advance, Konami after the PS2 / PSP and Capcom after the PS1.

Damn I feel bad because tht means you pretty much dont like Nintendo? Not trying to start anything in fact to each their own but Nintendo reuses everything! Buttt they make it a new experience everytime! Its just the name that bothers you? Ex kid icarus plays completely different from KIU, or Super MarioSunshine plays different from SM64, or DK64 plays different from DK Country! No matter what the every game plays like another game! Once Again Im not trying to get on you, Im saying your gonna be missing out alot even on Sony Side because of sequels! My reasoning for loving sequels are i get to play my favorite title for a longer duration with improve moves/graphics/different story/etc... Do not MISS OUT!!!!!

Why do you think I singled out Kid Icarus as the one that interested me? Also, the tiny baby steps that Nintendo makes with their franchises are inadequate. I'm not talking about their move into 3D with Mario 64, Ocarina of Time or Metroid Prime, I understand that they made significant changes with those. I'm also not talking about the likes of Sunshine, although I thought that title was wretched. It's not like I won't even try the games, I will eventually. It's just that I'm prepared for disappointment, something that Nintendo has been delivering an awful lot of over the last five years.

Everyone has different oppinions but if your talking about exact same material like the NSMB series i agree. Even though i like all, its still a little frustrating that everything seems the same with minor differences! But its only a few IMO! But hey at the end of the day everybody is different!
