I prefer the look of the original, the look chosen by the game's professional design team. Those new textures make it look like a completely different game. Yes, they're higher rez, but who stares intently at the ground anyway?

Lol you think they chose to keep Fallout 3's ugly left over scrap textures already held back by a terrible engine &weak consoles? i think they had no choice and would have changed them in a second if they could have. Sure, maybe it wouldn't look like NMC's texture pack, but come on anythink looks better than Fallout's DC textures tossed into Nevada.

The little details add up and can make for a more interesting world that pulls you in further. The game is still amazing mods or not. 

Pretty... maybe. But totally wrong. I'd choose the original look over this tacky HDR wannabe any day.
