Though, you could say the PS3 dominated the 360...for the entire year. It's going to end up ~1.2M-1.3M above the 360 this year.

No. It's not. Domination would be controlling the market a la PS2. Nothing has come within the vicinity of domination. PS3 sure hasn't dominated the 360 anywhere other than Japan.

Given the PS3 entry price is still more expensive than the 360's (hell, it went up to $70 more with the release of the Slim) and last year the gap was only ~300K in favor of the PS3, it dominated the 360 WW this year. Granted, I'm only using the term for this year, not as an overall observation. On the region comment, I'd have to say PS3 is dominating the 360 in EU and not just Japan. PS3 should have a 5.3M gap there by the end of the year. Maybe 8M-10M when all is said and done.
