When combining sales of all systems by manufacturer, Nintendo is dominating:

Nintendo - 1.8 million
Sony - 950K
Microsoft - 800K

Let's say Nintendo is dominating. That would mean Microsoft are definitely not.

Yep, it would mean Sony and ms are in a virtual tie. With an old and dying console v the mighty PS3 and a brand new handheld.

alarming.

It would be alarming if we didn't look at the bigger picture (the whole year). Wasn't 360 supposed to outsell PS3 every week from Halo 4 release?
Edit: I also wonder where he got the MS number from. It's only 750k (rounded).

No... It's still alarming.  It proves the Vita is done, it's bust, over, finished.  I was right all along.

Alright man relax.  You haven't been right becasue they are still making Vitas at this moment.  The Vita has sold poorly and it looks like it'll stay that way for some time, but they have yet to get a big title that will sell the Vita.  I'm not saying it'll succeed or fail, I'm just saying their is no need in this type of comment.

MSFT did not dominate but for a 7 year old console it sold extremely well.

PS3 has sold well too across the entire year and it is a 6 year old console.  Next year when it is 7 years old it'll sell less than this year.

Nintendo dominated with the 3DS and that is to be expected.

And seriously guys why do we look at numbers all the time thinking that is the most important thing?  Profits are the most important. So out of 360, PS3, Vita, Wii, WiiU, and 3DS who made the most money?
