I can remember when Jerry Rice made the previous record and the announcers called it a record that will never be broken. Well, the game changed and he has done an incredible thing. Though most of his seasons were only on good to bad teams. Hell, the Detroit crowd did not even get too excited.
On another note, if the Texans lose to Luck and the Colts in Indy Denver is the number one seed. I am so excited for next week and even the Seahawks-49ers. |
Rice did it in 1995. During the game they were talking to him on the phone as well. They probably would have invited him to the game, but I don't think many people were expecting him to have that many yards and break the record during that game. The last game seemed more probable. Now it looks like he'll break the 2000 yard mark.
