I've honestly not made use of miiverse. I deactivated it in parental controls. The gamepad is nice though. Its honestly the best controller I've ever used. My hands are very big. It fits perfectly. I got the zombi u bundle for the pro controller but haven't played with it yet. I seem fine with the gamepad.
From what I gather of it it is like using a normal controller so since there really isn't any fancy new input on it I can't see it going down with casuals. I think more core gamers will be accepting of this though.
One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D
