I'm back! I got a request for a PSN version in response to "The reason for the allure of Xbox Live", so I am totally ready for another one!
Reason for the Allure of Xbox Live:

In a world where gaming has not only become a battle of exclusives, or even console specs, online gaming has become a rising cause as to why people choose a console. PSN isn't a symbol of incompetent online any longer, no. It's a symbol of growth in multiple areas because thats Microsofts strength, you see. It is growing into a competent competition in a strength Sony doesn't naturally have, which is a good thing. I could talk about all the exclusives, but that would be pointless, because exclusives don't sell online (or does it? ::Coughs::Xbox LiveHALOGEARSDLC!::Cough::). The online is there if you want it, plain and simple and if you like multiplayer its there for you just as well.

**** your payment plans for basic online!
Free- Yeah...I said it with a capital F. To play online and enjoy the majority of what it has to offer all you have to do is buy the PS3. You can play COD and Battlefield, invite your friends to matches just like Xbox Live, just via message box. if your game is inside the system already, and accept invites you're immediately taken to lobby. Killzone is nice and so is Uncharted 3 is picking up with its online quite nicely. It shows Sonys learning how this online thing works and are picking up with great speed. You can go on your Netflix, Hulu, Youtube and internet browser extra. I've watched anime on websites on the browser. You can show your stats on facebook so your gaming friends know which trophies you've won recently and more. Also, fighting games are much more competitive on PSN. Oh yeah and one more thing....see this thing down here?

Yes, the trophies. PSN has become competitive not only on the grounds of multiplayer, but if you've gone on Home, you know how competitive people get comparing their platinums to each other? Why might you ask? They are the ultimate incentive to be a completionist. When I had Xbox Live I only collected achievements. It is the ultimate scoreboard for the gamer.

PSN Plus deals- PSN started off slow in 2010, but since last E3 it has taken off to become a truly awesome idea that can take off with popularity with some tweaks and additions. It gives free games, sixty minute demos, discounts, cloud storage and more. I have so many games because of PSN Plus its not even funny, in fact I am finishing up on some as of the indy titles that I never cared to play before. It's not the Steam holiday sale but its awesome as is when it comes to consoles. I see this as definitely being worth the price because Sony is trying to find an alternative reason that inspires the buyer to pay of their own free will. You also get early access to hot multiplayer betas, which I think is awesome.
PS1 classics- If you want to play some games you missed as a child you can download them cheap for less than ten dollars. Its as simple as that. I wish they had more PS2 games but I dont know what is going on there.
Cross Play- More and more games are becoming able to be played between the PSP and the PS3. You can play games from Street Fighter X Tekken, Playstation Allstars Battle Royale to Wipeout. Cross Play on PC with portal 2 is also available. This is a great start.
At this point, where it counts PSN has naturally caught up. Truly, to what they do with the next consoles will truly be interesting to see. I want to know how Sony will connect it with Sony mobile devices and their computers that they make.

We know Reggie.....we know.
