They will likely focus more on gaming and media in the future, which is what Kaz Hirai had in mind all along. Crazy Ken was loathe to rid Sony of their hardware divisions, or even adjust and/or cut them, he really loved to develop, produce and sell tehcnology.
Those days are over, I think. Their gaming division will remain but their TV and Hi-Fi departments may be cut or sold whole, TV's are likely the first to go, the sales of Bravia products has gone down considerably and Samsung has conquered the market beyond anyone else's reach.
