Some may think this is nonsense, but I've been observing this phenomena for years now.

For the last year I've spent 2 hours meditating from 5-7 in the mornings. Right after doing that I can tear apart a math or physics problem - no problem. But when I've spent some time reading up on videogames, my mind is very jumpy and unable to focus.

What I've done since (cause I'm too addicted to browsing to stop) is to always have classical/baroque music playing in the background. It's actually helped.

I think you're smart enough to push through regardless of this. For some it might be a killer blow, but I'm sure it'll just be an irritation for you. Good luck :)
