If a masterpiece it can be 10mil my bet is still 7-8mil, But then again look at SM3DL, We all know its gonna sell but at this rate lifetime seems like over 12mil to me! Long legs on a console not even 2 years old yet!!!
I can also see luigi mansion being bundled for next holiday with maybe NSMB2 IMO

Yeah, but SM3DL is kind of a "main" Mario game while LMDM is a spinoff. It will have a much harder time selling this much than SM3DL. So yeah, bundling the game will help it a lot, this way more people will talk about the game which is pretty important for a spinoff.
BTW: This is my first day in the forum and I already really enjoy debating with you. That´s pretty neat^^

Welcome! I hope you will enjoy your time here. :)
By the way, I have to disagree with you, unfortunately.
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon/World is not considered a Mario spin-off. It's the second chapter of an ip with its own fanbase and reason to exist.
I think it will sell a lot, especially if bundled. I'm sure it will sell more than the GameCube one (that I loved with all my heart).
This is my most anticipated 3DS game ever.

But doesn`t that MAKE it a spinoff? It takes a character from the original series (2D+3D Mario-games and gives it an own story (LM) focusing on this character. In regards to video games you could add independent gameplay, I think -> Luigis Mansion seems meet the criteria for a spinoff. That doesn`t prevent it from being a new IP though.
