The change in ownership was very contraversal because of who bought it, however the original owner still holds the rights to this franchise and actually saw a new entry to the series recently.

18. YES - After Microsoft bought Rare, a lot of the key developers moved to Crytek. They didn't want to work on dumbed down Perfect Dark games, or Kinect stuff.

31. YES I didn't want to be too obvious, but how many current franchises have a great 3rd game which ends a trology, and then the 4th one is looking to be crap. Metroid fit, but no one else did. Halo is doing fine, and Starfox isn't a trilogy.
