I'm pretty sure the price of the WiiU in europe and the "others" region is the main factor contributing to the low sales.

In my region (which is closely related to europe prices) the WiiU is significantly more expensive than the PS3, which in turn is more expensive than the 360 which is significantly more expensive than the Wii.

I was shocked when i saw the price of the WiiU in my country especially after i heard that the WiiU would release in the states at $299 and $349.

i think this too in Denmark i wound up paying on launch day 2999 DKK(about 400 Euros or 525 US Dollars).

I'm a long time fan of Nintendo so i was happy to let go of that kind of money to have the latest new hardware
from them, but at least where i come from it is not the norm to give Christmas presents this expensive.

400 Euros is a lot of money and one should probably also look at the circumstances of the releases, in 2005-2006 when PSWii60 was launched the Economic landscape was at a much better place compared to now which i doubt is helping the Wii U.
