I said it's irrelevant to me. I didn't say it was irrelevant to Sony. Nintendo and Microsoft could easily do the same thing, but I'm sure they would rather move on to something bigger and better. Sony is just know for leaving their products on shelves way past their prime. The PS2 has been dead for a long, long time. I think the only hardware Sony seems to have pulled quickly was the PSP Go.
