This is already halfway-fixed with the second update. It's loads (pun intended) better than what it was day one. I don't know where the 40 seconds come from, I've never waited that long for anything. Of course, I'd be even happier if Nintendo succeeds to make it faster. Why not?
Also, I've experienced PS3 updates which took longer than the WiiU's first update. Which didn't take two hours anyway, but whatever.
