My take: The Wii U is selling as good as many other launches of supply constrained consoles and it can only be judged like for like compared to other consoles with a similar supply situation. We don't know for instance if Nintendo had say twice the supply of the Wii that it would have sold twice as much as the Wii U or if the Wii would have simply sold 5% more. All we know is the upper bounds on demand and not the demand compared to other consoles.
