It's impossible to make a SO not have connection with other OS... it's the same hardware... they share everything... it's like your PC booting with Windows or Linux... but the hardware is the same for all so you can decript the Windows password from Linux for example.

First they hacked the Wii Mode... now the Wii U mode... I think they used the Wii Mode to access the Wii U and get the information to hack the system.

Just speculation of course.
