Don't let it bother you too much.  

There were plenty of Nintendo fans in thNPD thread, if I do remember correctly.  Me personally, visit sales threads anymore unless from NPD, MediaCreate, Famitsu, etc.  We get official numbers so infrequently for EU that people are just better off waiting for shipment numbers. And Sony fans haven't been in the Japan numbers thread for a long time.  Seriously, look at the thread for Miku launch and again the following week, it was a mass exodus with only a few people popping in every week or so.  so it goes both ways.

Why would something like this bother me?  Its more of an obersavtion on my part hince why I made the statement when I did.  I can easily see the same people claiming Japan = the world when its clearly not the case.  And sony fans have been in the Famitsu threads, that why they grow to be as large as they are (especially if people claim that this site is pro Sony).  Thats why its best to get a complete picture, so that the fandom can be toned down a bit.

Sure, if you want to ignore that weekly PAL threads very rarely ever come with numbers. I read them every week, and ultimately it's just chart positions which doesn't tell us much.

We only get hard data when Nintendo unleash the charts once per quarter. How active are those threads?
