So I played the LBP2 Cross Controller DLC and here is how it went:
I had a hard time finding it in the PS3 store but I didn't try too hard before I started just scrolling through DLC to find it. I started my Vita's cross controller and it prompted to start my PS3. I loaded up LBP2 and initiated the cross controller area after getting 3 dualshocks up and running.
So 4 of us are playing and start our adventure off rescuing some space pirates. The Vita's input is pretty basic at first. Reveal hidden dangers here, move a block there, Then it gets more complicated with back touch and forward touch options just like in LBP Vita. Additionally a character can sometimes use a worm hole to enter onto the Vita and the Vita player then controls the character to complete a task to allow the others to move on.
The feature is very nice and it was a blast playing like this. The only drawbacks were it often seemed the person controlling the Vita had little to do and when they had control of a character the others had nothing to do but wait. I really look forward to what the community can do with the new features cross controller allows. That is where it will really shine and is totally worth the $5 if you are a fan of LBP and enjoy creating levels.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
