As I understand it now the only games we know the shooter played was World of Warcraft and Mario games. But they have talked about LAN parties, so I think they might be missing something.

I certainly agree that certain games are not appropriate for kids. Just like certain movies, book, toys, art work, clothing, medications, performance pieces and foods and so forth. It's why we try to protect kids so they can have an 'innocent child hood,' before they have to realize so many things about the world. So they have a time to develop, so they can be good adults when their time comes.

The News people are just making drama to get ratings. They have snip-its of information that the weak minded or ill-informed grasp. Just this weekend I got 'the Evils of Coconut Oil' freak out from someone who asked what was in something I cooked. And they refused to eat it, and they really should know better. This is propaganda from the 70's (although they are close to 70 themselves) and I didn't feel like educating them about c-14 and chemistry.

The sad part is this snips of information get repeated like a bunch of coo coo clocks going off at the same time. Just repeating the sound, without applying any real thought to it.

It's always going to be there, so we will always have to keep it in check. And make certain we don't become coo coo clocks ourselves.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
