First Dark Souls II info from EDGE magazine (new directors, massive graphical leap, might not make it in 2013)

 I felt, that aside from the crappy graphics, and silly ragdoll, the last 2 were pretty much the definition of this type of game. And as a result Dark Soul's is one of my top 10 favorite games ever and Demon Soul's in my top 30. 

And releasing a crappy one isn't the end of the world. However, they could do cool things. Or they could really screw it up. Either way, it'll be interesting.

Which is probably why they think they need to change direction a bit for the next game and do something different.
