There are other kinds of ports, especially for franchises as big as GTA, like actual platform-tailored ports. Assuming the reasonable (a non-lazy port), your argument crumbles.

Supposedly the Wii U version Assassin's Creed III is on par with other versions, and if you're concerned about how sandbox games might perform on Wii U, that's the only real evidence we have right now.
