The demo was good. World, character design and story look very promising from the demo.
It does have some of the unfortunate jrpg traditions, such as inconsequential random battles to slow you down. You can avoid most of them on the world map at least.

Q1 is going to be awesome with Ni No Kuni, Rayman Legends and Sly Cooper. Great relief from all the throat stabbing and head shots this holiday season. Time to get some balance back.

What does that mean exactly? Or how is that even a bad thing. The enemies are visible on the map so if you do not want to fight you don't have to. Battles are required if you want to level up your characters and familiars. They are necessary without being overbearing.

One thing I could not stand about Western RPGs such as Fallout and Oblivion, and even a few JRPGs like Xenosaga; is that you can keep going through the game rarely getting into battles unless it is a boss. This is very bad. Not only does that leave you underleveled but half of the fun playing such a game is dealing out battle strategies. I really wish the encounter rates were higher and respawned on the regular. I like to powerlevel which is virtually impossible in most WRPGs.
