lol hilarious how majority of this thread is about 'other' fans...it's almost like a lot of pent up frustration right there..good to let it out I guess

OT: It's good they finally clarified it. Should have done it earlier too. I mean not like these guys don't check out gaf or anything. Could have saved a lot of unnecessary speculation.

Should never have been speculation honestly, the truth of the matter is "THQ = Nearly Bankrupt and unable to fund the project", why that was never considered part of the equation, or why they never admitted it is beyond me, but its as factual as the sky being blue.

uhh I don't see how that being taken into consideration (and yes it was brought up) would have changed anything. It would just mean that with limited resources they deemed it wasn't a worthy venture for them. This could mean they either don't see much sales potential in the long run on the wiiu for their game OR problems with the hardware makes it a too difficult of a task.

I think the main reason this got a lot of attention is because of almost all multiplats performing weaker on the wiiu compared to ps360. We also had the ram confirmation a week or so earlier. We also had a lot of vague rumors flying around about the cpu as well. So it's a combination of those things. That's pretty much it really.

ps: Just remembered..another reason why it got so much attention was because right after a dev from DICE said he has heard similar things about the wiiu as well.

Well I doubt any multiplat could sell as well as any other console right now with the smaller install base, but my point was I believe the primary reason is their financials, its a known fact, they just received extended loans through Wells Fargo which they already defaulted with, and are likely in a situation now where its finish the project and it be a hit or they are done for. I hope they survive certainly, I'd not like to see them absorbed into a huge publisher like EA or Activision, but I am betting that is their primary reason more then anything, they do not have the money, have been practically giving away games for dirt cheap (likely to raise fast cash for their defaulted loan) and are essentially on their last legs.
