Some points...

- PS3 is still powerful enough...
- PS3 not reached popular price point...
- There is a lot of games to be released next year for it...
- AMD will have more time to put a decent GPU in the A-10 APU...
- The 28nm process will be more mature (less yelds loss = less cost loss)...
- No competition with Microsoft at launch (that's a guess because I think Microsoft will launch the next box in 2014 too)

For me, for you... for all consumers the 2014 is a better launch than 2013.

It only benefits Nintendo and MS. It really does.

Playstation dominance was founded on launching before major competitors. This gen PS3 lost much of its 3rd party dominance and marketshare, largely because developers were allready used to making games for the 360 and the early adopters gave 360 an edge.

PS4 launching last is even worse because unlike last gen where Wii launched alongside PS3, PS4 will be 2 years behind WiiU and more or less 1 year behind Xbox. And it no longer has the PS2 brand name to carry it like it did with PS3 in its early years.

It will be Sonys final biggest mistake to launch last next gen. Itll be this gen, only repeated. Fine by me, but confused as to how youd agree with me.

Playstation brand is still strong. Launching a little later than MS won't hurt it THAT Much if it launches at at the same price or lower.

BTW, PS dominance was due to great games and great hardware, not early launches. Did you forget how the Dreamcast launched before the PS2?
Launching last would be a mistake, I agree, but it wouldn't be their "Final".
