No. you are conviniently trying to ingore the past.
The PS1 and PS2 were fine quality wise, don't lie they were nowhere near 360 standards.

Exactly since the 2008 drastic (hardware) redesign. The ps3 was improved (to make it less power hungry) not redesigned.
So comparing the PS3 to the 360 now, ignoring that little fact is grossly missleading.
