Apple has not made much of any progress in their phones since the 1st iphone. They always just release something for the sake of releasing something and people seem to just eat it up... I guess you haven't even touched or played with an iphone if you think that..
iphone 3gs was a major up from iphone / 3g and iphone 4 was a major overhaul for iphone as well
iphone 5 was a pretty big improvement too.. just not as big as the first two
