Inventing the quick time event is hardly something you'd want to brag about.

It was a big deal at the time. You had to move up, down, left, right, or press the sword button at the precise moment in order to get the I am continuing in the game animation. If not, you would die a miserable death. It didn't display the button that you have to press on the screen like the more modern games.
Have you ever played Dragon's Lair? It was animated by Don Bluth, one of the top animators at the time.

I can't say that I have. I had to do a Google search to know what the game was... how can this be overrated? I'd say it's mostly unknown.

It was one of the most popular games in at the arcade when I was young. Back in the Neanderthal Era...
