I don't agree with Halo:CE being on the list. At the time it was released, it was very entertaining to play and had quite a unique look and feel to it. Granted some of the level design was awful and parts of the campaign got quite tedious, but as a whole package I thought it was great.

If you were to point to a Halo game that's overrated I'd say Halo 3 fits the bill. There's probably no game that could live up to the level of hype the media, advertising and fans managed to generate prior to the launch of that title. Personally once I played it I was massively disappointed, if felt more like Halo 2.5 but with some gameplay changes I found frustrating, this despite the 10's critics were throwing at it and the hundreds of hours I'd put into the previous installment.

I wouldn't say Gears Of War is overrated. While I didn't enjoy the game that much, I thought the production values were high, the world seemed interesting and I found it was very fun to use that chainsaw assault rifle, despite the authors criticisms of it. I suppose it looked on the surface like it might have a very engaging plot, but Epic have never in their history really focused on plot. (Haven't played Shadow Complex though.)

Super Meat Boy looks very mediocre. It got sensational reviews however so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, but nothing I've seen of it inspired me to want to find out more or even play it.

Wii Sports? Nah, I don't think so. It has average reviews from critics and you don't hear Nintendo fans bringing it up often. Sales do not equal quality and it's actually quite fun to play as a party game.
