No it isn't a bigger chance for some, until it passes the GC it has a chance to be the "next GC".

Good, now you are starting to agree with me. The likelihood of such fate for a console is different for each manufacturer, because all of the next gen consoles will be different. The difference could be the (first party) exclusives, third party multiplatforms or lack of those, hardware or just the image which each console will get.
