As a big fan of the first 2, even I have to say no. They're just extending the storyline for the sake of it, and fucking it up in the process. I was content with the ending of Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2's story could have been a great continuation, but it was executed poorly.
The only reason I want a XIII-3 is to fix the mess of a storyline that was in the previous game.
If I get round to it, I might make a rant thread about what Final Fantasy XIII-2's story should have been.
