I think by E3 next year they will have the lead. They have 2 big exclusives and some other really nice ones coming out early next year. I think Beyond will come out Q2 so by E3 we'll have Last of Us, God of War (huge sales spike there), Sly, Puppeteer, and Beyond. Really though it depends on when they cut the price to $199. If they do that in the first half of the year (maybe right before GTA and Last of Us release) then sales will explode. They basically broke even with 360 this past week so the holiday thing isn't as big as it was last year and I think that's what it will be like next year. So I say permanently in 2013. I think they want to announce PS4 and say PS3 took the lead at the same E3.
