Third parties have never worked for Nintendo since NES days. They live or die on first party software. As far as the market is concerned, only two games exist for the Wii U right now. The tablet is about as much of a selling point as hardware 3D: no effect.
The only worrying thing is the lack of future first-party announcements. Nintendo has never surprised us with suddenly filling an empty part of the calendar, so if 2H 2013 looks dead now, it's pretty dead.
