If this is SO5 it'll release next year. And really their incompetence with FF doesn't really leak to other game series/studios. Plus tri-Ace isn't even owned by SE.

Someone didn't play Star Ocean 4.

Star Ocean 4 was excellent :p

I don't want to use this thread to bash a horrible game, but no one can possible argue that Star Ocean 4 (not the International Edition where they completed its development) was an excellent game. It has so many technical issues to the point where I averaged a crash every 2 hours. Went through a strecth where I had to play through the same area 3 times. You become less forgiving to the poor characters (disliked all but two), awful voice acting, poor hit detection and collision issues in battle. I went through and got every PA with each character's ending.
Will never put myself through that again.
Ironically, I thought the most hated character was the only one with any redeeming value. I emphathized with Lymle and cared for her, something I couldn't say for the rest of em. That said, I still really like the battle system and it was enjoyable. The poor hit and collision detection was generally only an issue against certain bosses that you had to slide around to deal any damage.

Sometimes i just dont understand how you do it. I played the 360 version and i enjoyed it alot. Fun combat system, good graphics and good storylines (especially the earth arc) and it didnt crash a single time for me. i really dont know what you were doing. Maybe your xbox was busting?

It's a well known fact that the Xbox 360 version looked and ran better than the Ps3 version.

This is a gigantic lie. I used the 360 when first released. The ps3 version was released later and had extras for a reason. It was completed.
@ nem
I wish I wasn't lying. I nearly quit the game completely during the second disc (which is where the majority of the issues happened). We just disagree on the story. After that one arc, I thought it was pretty terrible. Some parts about the graphics were good (big world, detailed enemies, etc.), but others were awful (bad lip syncing, character models looked like dolls and were animated poorly, tons of pop-in [especially so when it wasn't installed]).
And no, my 360 wasn't dying. Only game I've ever encountered those severe issues are Star Ocean. If you look online, I'm not alone.
