Nintendo of Europe Restricts Wii U eShop Content During the Day

No, seriously. European gamers can only buy ZombiU during a certain time. Read on for all the details.

In a move that can only be described as strange, it looks like Nintendo of Europe is blocking access to content that is age-rated 18 and up during certain times of the day. Specifically, Wii U owners are unable to purchase these games in the eShop - or even watch trailers or access information for them.

As reported by Eurogamer, a Nintendo representative has stated that, “We have thus decided to restrict the access to content which is unsuitable to minors (PEGI) to the 11pm - 3am time window.” Keep in mind this has nothing to do with your parental control settings - it's a restriction NOE has placed on the eShop itself.

It's a good thing kids never stay up late… oh wait. That’s not true at all.
