Why save Nintendo? Yes the Wii U did horrible in Europe (although that could possible be because of manufacturing issues) but it did respectable numbers in NA.
Overall I think the whole gen of the Wii U will probably be like this:
Japan: amazing
America: good
Europe: good or bad (most likely the latter)
Edit: besides there's only been 1 week for Europe and 2 week for America, stop jumping the gun so soon. The new year will be interesting to see the numbers.

This is in fact wrong. The Wii U had TWO (2) days of sales that week. If you think 170k+ in 2 days is horrible and weak, then there's nothing that will save it...

Doesnt' matter. These Europe sales for Wii U include months of pre-orders. You really think sales will increase next week? I can tell you right now they wont'. They'll decrease just like they did in America. This isn't a stock issue.
