Don't forget the 3ds last year has just received a price cut as well as mario 3d land and mario kart 7. Games wise they are not even close to matching that this xmas with paper mario and epic mickey being the main two games. Still i take your point that 300k is a lot to be down though.

True, the lineup this year isn't as strong. That's probably the biggest factor. Still, PS3 got a price cut last year and had a pretty good lineup but this year its lineup is bordering on crappy and yet it's still only down a few tens of thousands.

Good point. Personally i thought nintendo should have held off on releasing nsmb2 till xmas. That to me would have given it a little extra momentum. Couple that with an animal crossing release and it could have beaten last years numbers.
