Worst case scenario for someone with an Athlon X4 is that the user may need to lower the detail slightly, which is what they will need to do anyways unless they have a GTX 680 or higher...which is a setup that doesn't make any sense. (Athlon X4 + 680). So I expect an Athlon X4 to still be GPU bound for people with 7850, GTX 660 or lower.


Keep in mind Crytek are promising improved path finding, AI, physics, animation system, more dynamic enviroments (grass sways in the wind, improved destruction etc) etc. On top of larger enviroments this will likely mean that C3 will be a bit more demanding on the CPU side.

An X4 should be fine tho especially with a few things turned down a notch or two, and on a lower end GPU as you say.

This is good news...crisis 2 really needed a ultra setting for AI and level design. :)
