You'll be more than fine. I will be shocked if Crysis 3 is CPU bound... It's going to be all GPU.

In terms of your CPU, here is a chart showcasing what GPU bound games look like on a range of CPUs. You won't miss a beat with an Athlon X4...

Wouldn't a Crysis 2 chart be more appropriate here?

Yeah those look about right, except for the shocing hit AMD processors take under DX9. Besides, they are testing this with a GTX 590 under max settings.

Worst case scenario for someone with an Athlon X4 is that the user may need to lower the detail slightly, which is what they will need to do anyways unless they have a GTX 680 or higher...which is a setup that doesn't make any sense. (Athlon X4 + 680). So I expect an Athlon X4 to still be GPU bound for people with 7850, GTX 660 or lower.
