How come WiiU sells less? Not enough demand or not enough supplies? If not enough supplies, why did Nintendo not ship enough units?
The WiiU software neither impress in the Top 40 list. Not 1 WiiU exclusive in Top 10.

It was a supply issue. Clearly, Nintendo had a fixed amount of units ready for it's initial shipment, and chose to devote the majority of them to it's largest audience = North America. Now, if Nintendo had 400, 000 units for sale in Europe and only sold 40,000 of them, then you would have a story. It makes sense as to why Nintendo focused on NA with the initial shipment. But, since Europe blew their stock in 48 hours, it's a shame that Nintendo missed an opportunity for more sales there. But, it's not like there aren't more shipments going out to replenish. Btw, I'm sure there were way more than 40,000 Vita's available for sale by comparison.
