plenty of workers get fired or sacked from jobs all the time. only a minority stalk/harass a former employer. if genuine about getting back at employer the former employee would make an unfair dismissal case.
a better recruitment screening process of new applicants in the future may be needed. insist on 2 or 3 years experience in sandwich making and 2 or 3 contactable references. that would sort out who is genuine about working.
