The PS3 Will be the number 1 selling console in Europe this gen.

Wii printed tons of money and brought high profits to Nintendo in this generation and was the best selling console through 2007 to 2010. Till now, it still has 20million leads worldwide.

To pass it when Wii is close to the end of its life cycle is not a milestone. I really don't know what you guys will be excited for or celebrate for.

The fact of the matter is that Nintendo could not keep the Wii's sales sustained. Had the Wii kept on selling well Nintendo never would have brought out the Wii-U so soon. This gen is over when the consumers say so, not the hardware companies. 

Thats like me bringing out a product and selling 40 million in 2 years then sales drop off. Then my friend brings out a product will sells consistantly over a long period of time and does 40 million in 4 years and passes the leader the year after. The only way i will agree that nintendo struck gold is if they can make the Wii-U explode like the Wii did. 

Wii did well and sold many consoles in a short period of time, but you need a product that going to sell in years to come. The PS2 still sells to this day.
