I can see 12.5M as a possibility, too, especially if it has a really good holiday in EU/Japan. Though, I see it falling in between that and Kowen's estimate, so ~12M. I do believe the PS3 is undertracked here, now. VGC still needs to add ~100K to the America numbers for Black Friday week. Then, you had Sony state that the PS3 had reached over 70M in shipments on Nov 4th and VGC has it that there were still ~2.2 million consoles on shelves aroud the same time as that announcement. According to VGC, there were only ~1.4M on shelves when MS announced the 360 had shipped 70M units. All in all, I would guess we're under by ~300-400K.

Looks like Year 7 will be the only year the PS3 wasn't able to outsell the 360. Next year, however, I see the PS3 being relatively flat YOY. Maybe 5-10% down, while 360 will be down more so. The reason for this is the PS3 has quite a few great exclusives lined up for next year, we'll have a full year of the Super Slim affect, and a probably a mid-year cut to $199 (so a $150 Black Friday bundle).
