I don't see how that can be more expensive in any scenario.

Maybe not in the States but here in the UK it's more expensive to buy digitally than retail. It should be cheaper too considering you're not getting the disc, case and manuals.

I'm only getting games digitally that you can't get at retail like Trine 2, which I bought last night. And we get shafted over here with the points too.
