Those vibrant colors on 720p AMV, made me say, "wow." I like the hardware on this gadget, but I still wonder if Sony is going to keep pushing it with great software. You know, the good kind that doesn't limit personal customization.
The way I see it, the PS3 is limited with no Flac, MKV, flash player codecs, etc. I think Sony is guilty of trying to box the user into using their limited media with their own software. I think this is one of the biggest problems Sony has to overcome. They can't dictate to the consumers how they can view/consume their entertainment. The special Memory cards that cost a lot, is good example. It is not software, but it is a way Sony limits and forces the customer into buying their brand. I hope Sony can overcome this hurdle and offer an experience where people can customize their handheld/console experience without having to resort to third-party customizable firmware (Hacks).
