Congratulations! You are now in the 1%

Personaliy, I woudn't mind seeing stories removed from video games all together. They are nothing but a crutch for people who can't make games.

Are you seriously saying people who play RPGs for stories only fall into 1% of RPG players? And game stories are crutches? Well, I guess someone who doesn't like stories would say something like that. Sorry Jesus, but you have no idea what you're talking about.

No, as should be clear from the context, I said he's among the 1% of people who cares about the story in Paper Mario.

And yes, I think that stories in games are used as crutches by people incapable of designing a good game because they lack the creative ability to do so. The same goes for graphics by the way. Please be advised that I use the term 'game' for what it is, the actual rules that define the game experience. Anything else is fluff and presentation. By this metric most RPGs are the same game with some changes to the names and visuals.

Some people love to see the art of storytelling merged with the art of game making. I don't care for it myself, but that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.
