It's been mentioned repeatedly in this thread that Gears of War 3 bundle cost $60-$100 more than a normal 360.  Anybody that bought that "bundle" paid for the game.

Think of it like this:

  • Wii U bundle with NintendoLand--cost $50 more.  People paid for Nintendoland.
  • Wii bundle with Wii Sports and Mario Kart for $250--the bundled games came free with the console.

That's the reason why Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda sold so much on 360 compared to the competition.  They were heavily bundled with the console.  If you bought a slim 360 during that period, you got those two games.  Hell, I got them.  They were free.  If there was a $300 360 with no game and a $350 version that came with those two games, I would have gotten the cheaper one.

So, one more time:  Anybody that bought that 360 bundled you posted PAID for the game.  Anybody that got the Uncharted PS3 (whether they wanted the game or just a PS3) got the game for free.  I won't stand by and let somebody say something positive about a Sony exclusive.  That's not how I was raised.

That is a special edition console, not just a normal console. Uncharted 3 being bundled also increased the entry price ($20). I posted that image only because I hate hit and run posts like that and especially those that come in to say a short comment and end it with "/thread".

Wait, where is it $20 more expensive? On Amazon the Slims (not Super Slim) are the same price (PS3 320GB is $299 while the Uncharted bundle is $299). There's the 250GB GOTY bundle Super Slim that's $270 but I don't see a standard 250GB Super Slim priced anywhere (I imagine it's $250 from what you said).
