Yesterday I browsed through Amazon and I found about 10 Wii Games I would be interested in and that I could buy at the moment. The Thing is that I really underestimated my Wii the last years. And that was just because of one big Issue... I just can't stand the Wiimote control.
I grew up with a standard controller (NES, SNES, Megadrive, PS1, PS2, PS3) and I really like the experience. These "innovative" Controls (Motion Controls, SixAxis, etc) are just not suited for most games and are often just taking away from the experience. And that was exactly what kept me from actually playing my Wii... I just got angry with most games after a few Minutes because the Control scheme felt just outright stupid.
So I come to the conclusion that I would have really liked the Wii if it never had Motion Controls as standard controller. And thats is the main thing that makes me not wanting to buy a Wii U.... that damn gamepad.
And I just want to add that Sonys Eyetoy used Motion controls way before Nintendo came with the WiiMote. And even then Motion Controls were just good enough for Minigames...
